Creative collective to launch an interactive shop in Brent Cross shopping centre for very limited time to raise money for The Red Cross disaster appeal for the tsunami affecting Japan.

Pop-up goes Flash! Celebrating tropical style in a cocktail shop of music, arts, events and all round fun in the urban jungle of Brent Cross shopping centre, north London.

Jumping up to react to the horrific natural disaster that recently hit Japan, Fashion Promoters from Middlesex University will be throwing a Flash Store with a Tropical fashion vibe, selling unique products with all profits going towards the Red Cross official disaster appeal. The Collective aim to not only raise awareness of the cause but also to promote the creativity of young people and artistic practitioners. Inspired by this summers’ fashion trend for the tropics, the shop will stock limited run products designed and produced by the students themselves. From graphic print clothing to cheap ‘n’ chic knickknacks, the items will feature bold and vibrant prints – ideal to snap up for summer.  

Occupying a central atrium at Brent Cross shopping centre and surrounded by some of London’s most covetable stores including Fenwick’s and Topshop, the tropical stomping ground will be unmissable from the floors above and the ground below. Shoppers will spot the fruity bazaar from afar and drawn in by the zesty programme of events.

A healthy 5 a Day schedule of events of varying sizes will be posted on the website and in print with information and interviews with collaborators featured on the frequently updated blog. Free events will range from tropical themed workshops and live illustrations to playing vibrant vintage dress-up and Hula-hooping! There will be something fun and creative for everyone from the casual Brent Cross shopper to top fashion bloggers.

Flash Paradise will be inviting visitors and press to talk about their excitement and experience of the Flash Store through blogging and Social Media. Visitors will have the chance to be photographed taking part in activities in the store, with photos being uploaded to the Facebook page and the blog on the day. Visitors and London’s top bloggers and press can get involved early at the dedicated launch party, with photos being made easily available post-event. The pop-up blog will feature up to date information on the creation of the flash store, interviews and features with our sponsors and collaborators, fashion spotlights and more.  

Flash Paradise embraces the vibrant, fast and energetic creativity of London, promoting students and spreading positivity all whilst supporting a good cause. See you there!
