Charlie Sheen Turns To Religion

Actor Seeks Deliverance and Perhaps More . . .

March 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Embattled actor, Charlie Sheen, is rumored to have turned to the juggernaut Hindu deity, Shiva, for deliverance from his drug-induced troubles.  In payment, he is said to have offered to renounce heroin and other hard drugs, and promises to only “medically” use ganja—which is the favorite of the deity aka Bhangeru Baba by the chillum-smoking faithful.

Sheen is now believed to be taking keen interest in Tantric religion; his apparent enthusiasm was said to be aroused upon discovering that a movie version of the novel, The Vulcan Precept, is in the works.  Recent reports suggest Angelina Jolie and Cameron Diaz are in the running for the lead role, although some rumors claim Paris Hilton is also a favorite of the two gods vying to lead Hollywood into the project.  The novel is a tale about how the blueprint of Shiva’s ultimate weapon—the Pashupata—found its way into American hands.  That weapon was allegedly last used by a reluctant warrior prince in the 18-day war—an epic battle between rival princely clans—and whose Kurukshetra battlefield victims were sanctified in the Bhagavad Gita.

Sources close to the actor suggest Sheen is keen on acquiring the weapon himself, so he can use it against the bigwigs at CBS who put him out of his misery of having to work for a living just like Joe Public.  He has also been heard to enquire about the lead male role in the movie.  Alas, the storyteller who wrote the novel is said to be adamant that the role should be reserved for an outsider.

For those of you who are not familiar with the novel:

A Kindle version is available on www.Amazon.com and e-versions are also available at www.smashwords.com.  The latter is reportedly making the e-book available on all other platforms including, Sony, Kobo, Nook, Apple iPad, Diesel, etc.  PC downloads are also available from both Kindle and Smashwords, as are versions for Apple iPads.

Kirkus Discoveries, an Indie critic service had this to say about the novel, which has already won two awards:

“A complex plot of conspiracy and intrigue . . . A mind-bending tale . . . A thought-provoking thriller that will keep readers on the edge of their seats.”
