DePuy Hip Replacements Not The Only Defective Product Causing Problems for Johnson & Johnson

March 16, 2011 - PRLog -- In a secret recall recently, defective Motrin tablets were the product in question.  The state of Oregon is seeking hundreds of thousands of dollars from the personal and home care giant after it was discovered that Johnson & Johnson and two of its subsidiaries swept the product off the shelves after discovering that the Motrin caplets were not dissolving, thus were not working effectively.  Once the company became aware of this problem, they hired a contractor to buy all of the defective product from those stores that carried it.

Consumers became a bit distrusting of Johnson & Johnson after their relectancy to recall the ASR products; after all, this is a manufacturer that we have all trusted for decades.  Now it seems that the company may be more interested in profits over the safety of their customers, and credibility is swiftly going downhill.  

The "secret" Motrin recall was exposed by a member of the secret recall who came forward and exposed what was taking place.  In June of 2009, this person alerted the Board of Pharmacy that his company had been hired by Johnson & Johnson to buy up the defective Motrin.  The Food and Drug Administration was then alerted by officials.  In the months following a full recall was announced.
