(March 16, 2011) –  Artist David Quentin Sheldon’s Freaky Flipsters™ characters will begin their adventure this Fall with a series of kid’s apps created and produced by leading app Developer, Night & Day Studios www.nightanddaystudios.com.  Since its inception, Night & Day has developed apps for clients like Nickelodeon, along with its soon-to-be-released  licensed games for Richard Scarry’s Busytown™, Yo Gabba Gabba™ and The World of Eric Carle™.  The company’s own PEEKABOO BARN has been among the top 25 selling educational apps over two years, played nearly 15 million times by children, worldwide.  MY VERY FIRST APP, also by Night & Day, is a number one selling educational app.

Rights Management and Creative Services company, SupperTime Entertainment, www.suppertimentertainment.com will be responsible for taking the Freaky Flipsters™ into other platforms including TV, books and merchandise licensing with the target age being six to twelve years old.  According to SupperTime president, Gerry Renert, “Regardless of the platform, to us it’s all about the play value.  Without great play value, you’re always fighting an uphill struggle.  With The Freaky Flipsters™, we see an inherent play value children will never tire of--across all platforms.”

Freaky Flipsters™ creator David Quentin Sheldon is an established children’s author and illustrator, with over sixty books published in the trade and educational markets. His first book, Barnum Brown: Dinosaur Hunter (Walker & Company Books 2006) was selected as “outstanding tradebook for 2006” by the National Science Teacher’s Association. His unique novelty book, Monster Halloween, was published by HarperFestival and served as an inspiration for the Freaky Flipsters™.  Some of the other publishers David’s worked with include Scholastic, Houghton Mifflin, Harcourt, McGraw Hill and many more.

Pricing on the first Freaky Flipster™ app is yet to be determined and will be announced in September.
