New Trade Organization Announced

March 16, 2011 - PRLog -- A call has been issued for a new trade organization for Polyaspartic Garage Floor Coating Experts.

Laurin Leih, owner of Slide-Lok of Minnesota and Home Storage Solutions, is pioneering a new trade organization. This trade organization will promote the integrity of the residential garage floor coating experts who apply polyaspartic floor coatings and the corresponding technology on residential garage floors in northern climates. Leih noted that northern climates have unique situations related to polyaspartic floor coatings not experienced in other parts of the US. The new trade organization will be called The Polyaspartic Garage Floor Coating Installers of Mid-America (PGFCIMA).

At the intital organization meeting Leih said "The whole objective behind this new organization is to promote the quality of the polyaspartic garage floor coating product and the company and people behind the product(s). The expertise needed to prepare and install polyaspartic floor coatings on residential garage floors in Minnesota, the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul is significant. As a group of floor coating experts we need to do more to keep the fly-by-night individuals out--simply stated, the non-professionals ruin our reputations. The new organization will establish membership criteria and a code of ethics that is above all other floor coaters in the industry. Based on the quality of the membership we expect to join this new organization we will work tirelessly to build the reputation of the high quality polyaspartic products and the companies and individuals that stand behind them. The time has come to let those consumers who desire to have a better looking, more fucntion garage with a floor coating that preserves the concrete, know that there is a better product than that which they may be familiar with from one of the big box retailers. And, the consumer benefits are significant of having the coating installed by professionals who exceed the soon to be established membership criteria."

Plans are underway for the first annual conference and exposition for members and those aligned to the field. Sites under review for this first conference are Duluth, Fargo, St. Cloud, Mankato, Rochester and the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
