Backyard Drainage Issues Prevented with Recent Installation of Rinox Products

March 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Rinox Products and McCusker Landscaping recently completed a project for homeowners in West Chester, PA, which solved water and drainage issues, as well as gave them the backyard they’ve always dreamed of.  

As with every hardscaping project, drainage is a key component that must be factored into the design. With the specific nature of the grading leading up to the house, combined with the existing structures such as a retaining wall, outdoor fireplace, septic tank, and propane tank, McCusker Landscaping was faced with finding solutions to several difficult elevation and drainage issues.

Matt McCusker was up to the challenge. With a masonry background under his belt, his attention to detail really shines through when the job is complete. The pond was included half-way through the project, which added to the already difficult drainage issues. It was specifically placed so that the Quinns’ daughter could view it from her bedroom window. Matt strongly believes in incorporating natural stone with pavers and retaining walls, which really accentuates the beauty of this backyard getaway. All of the natural stone used in this project consisted of reclaimed resources from past jobs.  In addition, the sun tends to really bake this backyard in the summertime, so the owners had concerns about the patio absorbing and giving off too much heat. This paver was specifically designed and manufactured to have a high solar reflectivity index, which simply means, it won't get as hot as standard pavers.
