WINCHESTER, VA (March 17, 2011) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Winchester, Frederick and Clarke counties (BBBS) is hosting its 16th annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake, a signature fundraiser to support program development and match recruitment. On Saturday, March 26, 2011 from noon to 5 pm at Northside Lanes, located at Six Richard Avenue, Winchester Virginia, teams of four to five players are invited to bowl for one hour, donating a minimum pledge of thirty dollars. Local Ameriprise Financial office is the title sponsor for the event. Financial Advisor Rick Newby is a board member of BBBS and also a “Big” volunteer for their programs.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is one of the agency’s largest fundraising events and provides funds to accomplish the agency’s mission of helping children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships with measurable impact that leads to better schools, brighter futures and stronger communities. The top three pledge earners get to select from top prizes such as John Paul Strain print or trip to Massanutten Resort.”
