Follow on Google News | PASS Go Charity Fundraising MadCharity and fundraising events are always big issues for all those involved and can raise some much needed funding assistance for the charities involved.
By: Sara Thomson One company that does not have that problem is PASS ltd, after team members raised money for Help for Heroes, The Alzheimer’s Society and Comic Relief in 2010, this year is getting off to another good start with them raising money for Comic Relief and the Stroke Society in March alone. Marketing Manger Katie says; “It is difficult to choose just one charity to raise money for when there are so many needy charities, all with worthy causes that need as much help as possible. Here at PASS, we try to raise money for differing charities and we have lots of fantastic events planned for this year.” Two events that PASS are involved in take place during March, Red Nose Day 18th March 2011 and the Frankie Says Slide event in Newcastle. For Red Nose Day PASS have a ‘Dress to Impress’ event taking place where all staff members are coming to work for the day dressed in their best finery as well as the usual baking, competitions and quizzes. The day should be a success and a bucket will be passed around all training delegates and visitors to aid the fundraising. The ‘Frankie Says Slide’ event is taking place in Newcastle on 19th and 20th March in aid of The Stroke Society and involves sponsored zip wiring from the top of the Baltic roof across the Tyne River. PASS have quite a few volunteers for this event and hope to raise a vast amount of money for The Stroke Society, a worthy cause aiming to combat something that can strike anyone at any age. If you would like to help out you can sponsor PASS Sliders here at http://fundraising.stroke.org.uk/ # # # Founded by Barry Atkins in 2001, PASS ltd started as a local North East company selling electrical test equipment.
