March 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Get ready for a weekend of fun March 31 through April 3 when Big C Events brings 24 Master Sand Sculptors and over 20 musicians, including the Landsharks, to Fort Myers Beach for SAND BASH!

Come by boat, car, bike or even walk! Taking place at the Holiday Inn on the south end of Fort Myers Beach, over 40,000 people are expected to descend on the beach over the 4-day event to see Master Sand Sculptors from around the world and enjoy live music 9 AM to 9 PM daily.

Sand sculpting will go on all day, every day, but attendees will also enjoy the sand-built Pirate Bar where cold beverages will be available and the Photo Opportunity Sand Sculptures, where participants can step into a sculpture and have their photo taken.

Another major attraction is sure to be the "Quick Sand" speed sculpting competitions during the evening. Sculptors will create works-of-art from a pile of sand in 10 minutes, competing for the win.

Sand Bash will have many activities for the kids to enjoy as well including bounce houses, waterslides and much more.

Tickets are just $8.00 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 17 years old and seniors 55+, and those under 5 are free. Ticket packs for the entire event are also available for just $20 or for those aged 5-17 or 55+, just $16. Purchase tickets in advance at all Pinchers locations for a $3 daily discount or $5 off a weekend ticket pack.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Fort Myers Beach and other area Kiwanis in support of their ongoing community and charity efforts.

LOCATION & TRANSPORTATION
SAND BASH will be at the Holiday Inn located at 6890 Estero Boulevard on Fort Myers beach. Attendees are encouraged to arrive from the south in order to avoid traffic congestion. SAND BASH has coordinated a revolving bus system to transport attendees from the Lover’s Key parking area to the site. Parking is also available in the Publix shopping center at Bonita Beach Road and U.S. 41 where the Lee County beach “Trollee” will pick up attendees.

PLEASE NOTE: Interviews with master sculptors available upon request. Images of previous sculptures also available upon request.
