inSTINCT: Designer Tom Delavan Kicks Off Design Expert Interview Series

New York City – Design lovers and industry insiders with a passion for one-of-a-kind finds can now shop a curated set of rare vintage furniture, antiques, art, jewelry, and collectibles from around the world with inVALUABLES, exclusively from VandM (www.VandM.com).  This new resource launches alongside inSTINCT, a series of in-depth interviews with renowned experts, providing design inspiration to VandM’s visitors as they shop the online marketplace and read VandM’s popular design blog. The two introductions deliver a richer experience and greater access to curated finds for VandM’s audience of design savvy trendseekers.

Each week, inVALUABLES features a handpicked selection of on-trend, best-value designs from VandM’s inventory. VandM has launched with 20 items, including a 1930s Cartier Art Deco Vanity Case made in silver for $3,400, a pair of 1969 Jumbo Chairs by Alberto Rosselli for $3,600, a 1700s French Louis XV Style Cylinder Desk with inlaid rosewood for $97,500, and a rare 1958 Fornasetti Lithograph Poster for $2,300, and will be expanding the quantity in the coming weeks to keep up with expected demand.

inSTINCT launches with a profile of Tom Delavan, the interior designer, art director, stylist and former Editor At Large for Domino Magazine. The feature explores his inspirations of the moment (17th century Dutch still life), favorite piece of furniture (Caori table by Vico Magistretti) and love of online vintage hunting. Delavan notes, “nowadays the breadth of material available on the internet is amazing…combine that with the ability to search easily and you can see far more things in a few hours on the computer that you can in days of shopping.”

“VandM launches over several hundred rare items each week from top dealers around the world,” said Bill Indursky, co-founder of VandM. “But visitors always ask, ‘what’s the best?’ or ‘what’s the best value?’ So we created inVALUABLE to help our fans trendspot and navigate the best of our online offerings.  And given the ‘invaluable’ nature of each week’s picks, we don’t expect these items to be available for very long!”
