Presented by the ABA Law Practice Management Section. ABA TECHSHOW is the American Bar Association’s largest legal technology and education trade show that attracts lawyers from around the world. ABA TECHSHOW will be held at the Chicago Hilton & Towers, April 11 – 13, 2011.  Exhibitors are invited to log in to The Edge Room and post press kit contents including items such as their company logo, press releases, articles, white papers and company brochures.

The Edge Room is a free virtual press room where exhibitors provide company announcements and information that can be accessed by a legal media list of over 300 writers, editors, bloggers, and thought-leaders. It offers members of the media a secure, convenient, and easy way to search and download information that they need in order to better prepare for articles or exhibitor interviews. A new feature of The Edge Room is that it provides exhibitors the ability to add its announcements to its blog and Twitter account which helps improve exhibitor visibility and search results across the web.

Amy Juers, Founder and CEO of Edge Legal Marketing, said, “I felt the need to build The Edge Room for a few reasons; one being when our legal vendor clients exhibited at a trade show, the traditional “press room” seemed like a ‘dark hole’ where you would drop off your press kits and wonder if media or your competitors were collecting company information. A good number of media that we interviewed prior to building this product said that a lot of the press kit contents would end up in the trash because it was near impossible to carry 10-20 kits around with them as they walked throughout the show floor and to educational sessions. In addition, many of the media kits simply would remain untouched and a lot of good information would go unnoticed.

“The Edge Room is still a relatively new product but it is gaining a lot of momentum and we have the statistics to prove it,” continued Juers. During the last 45-days, reports show that more than 400 exhibitor files were downloaded which is record breaking numbers for The Edge Room! Additionally, there are new visitors from some of the most prominent legal and business media logging in and searching across the exhibitor database including media from The New York Times, Law.com, ABA Journal, Law Technology News, and InsideCounsel. “I am very excited to bring The Edge Room to ABA TECHSHOW for the second year in a row, and I look forward to helping them make the show a great success,” said Juers.
