Local motorhome supplier opens its doors on an exclusive Bentley Open Weekend

March 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Motorhome specialists Claire and Steve Parsons are inviting old and new friends alike to come along this April and join them for a unique free open weekend at the Peak Leisure Vehicles’ showroom in Kirk Langley, Derbyshire, including a ‘sneak peak’ at the latest new Bentley models.

Claire and Steve will be throwing open the doors on the 8, 9 and 10 April in what will be the first event of its kind Peak Leisure Vehicles has ever arranged. It is being seen by the company and its motorhome enthusiast owners as an opportunity to showcase the products and services they provide and fully expect the new Bentley models will inspire others to join them in their love of all things motorhome!

“It’s the first time Steve and I have ever done anything like this, so it is all very exciting,” explained Claire. “We have many regular customers who we hope will come along and say hello as they are the backbone of our business and we know there are many other people interested in the new Bentley motorhomes, so we will be dedicating the whole showroom to the new Bentley ranges.”

The highlight of the event is an eagerly anticipated ‘sneak peak’ at Bentley’s latest motorhome baby – a brand new coachbuilt model, but unique in the marketplace due to its compact size. Claire and Steve are not giving much away, but there will be enough to whet every motorhome appetite.

“People need to come along and see the new Bentley for themselves, but we expect everyone to be surprised and excited by what they see,” added Claire. “There have been calls for a compact coachbuilt motorhome for years and there is clearly a demand in the market for a niche model like this, so we are really excited at being one of the first dealers to have such a product on display.”

Claire and Steve caught the motorhome bug themselves several years ago having worked in the industry for many years and have been committed enthusiasts ever since. They established Peak Leisure Vehicles to make a living out of their hobby and industry expertise. What started as a labour of love has grown over the last few years into a thriving local family business success story, fuelled by Claire and Steve’s genuine love of the lifestyle and a commitment to their many customers who have become friends.

Developments over the last 12 months have been particularly marked, with a brand new, refurbished showroom, the launch of a dedicated motorhome repair business and even offering customers their own comprehensive warranty. Originally specialising in used motorhomes, the company is now one of only a handful of national dealers for Bentley motorhomes.                                

“It’s been a busy year for us, but an enjoyable one with so much going on,” added Claire. “Hopefully we will get out in our own motorhome later in the year. But Easter is traditionally the first big motorhome outing, so by hosting this event a few weeks before, we are hoping to catch everyone before they all shoot off on holiday!”

The open weekend is the perfect place for established enthusiasts and nervous novices alike to rub shoulders and see the latest products on offer in the relaxed and informal setting of the Peak Leisure Vehicles showroom. Food and refreshments will be available, along with the latest Bentley motorhomes, together with the company’s usual selection of quality used motorhomes.

Unlike cars, motorhomes are more of an informed purchase rather than an impulse buy, with customers taking as much as two years between a first look and making a decision to purchase. Those that do usually go on to fall in love with the lifestyle, providing Steve and Claire with a regular supply of customers for everything from accessories and repairs through to a motorhome upgrade. The open days will allow people to explore all the motorhomes on site, discuss the options with Steve and Claire, pick up some new essentials from the on site shop or just have an uninterrupted nosy round!

“Customers come to see us from all parts of the country and often make a weekend out of it, so we hope that by announcing our intentions in this way, people have more time to make arrangements,” added Claire. “For those people who may wish to come up in their existing motorhome, if they call us we will be happy to advise on nearby facilities they can use.”

The showroom will be open Friday and Saturday from 9.30 am until 4.30 pm and on Sunday from 11.00am until 4.00 pm. Cheese and wine tasting will be taking place and the weekend will culminate in a hog roast on Sunday!
