March 14, 2011 - PRLog -- The price of solar panels is extremely high so we made the decision to discover how you can build solar panels plans of our own. In order to run our off grid house we would require about 3000 watts of production power and that would cost us in excess of $10,000 to purchase new. Now I don't know about you but that is lots of money for this family.

Creating our own seemed like a better option for us. All we had to complete was figure out where to find the parts we required and how to put them together. We had figured out how to develop a wind generator before this, which turned out great so we figured we could do this too.

What did we require?

· Readily obtainable and simple to follow plans
· Simple to know how you can build solar panels plans
· Easy tools along with a place to function

We got right to it starting with a piece of plywood as a backer board on which to mount the person cells. We chose to function in our workshop because there's soldering that needs to be carried out and we like operating inside a nicely ventilated area. Keep that in thoughts whenever you begin.

I'm kind of a safety conscious person and usually have been so we wear eye and hand protection when essential too.

Wires are soldered towards the back of the cells, 1 for constructive and 1 for negative. We discovered the cells in the supply mentioned within the guide.

Just a dab of solder and also the wires are fished via holes in the plywood to the back.

Align the cells in rows so it's easier to set up later. They are attached to the plywood with a bit of silicone caulking- not too much or you'll possess a mess on your hands.

The constructive lead wires you soldered earlier are all joined with each other to one main wire. Exactly the same is done with the negative leads. Get these main wires out towards the outside of the board after which sandwich the whole back with another thin piece of plywood.

A little of a spacer about the outside edge makes a great frame and keeps the wires from becoming crunched.

We prefer to location a sheet of tempered glass over leading of the solar cells as well. Using a bit of trim the glass may be held in place nicely with some screws and silicone. It looks real professional whenever you are carried out.

How much did we save?

All totaled up we can develop a 100 watt solar panel for beneath $200 although prices tend to fluctuate, yours will too. That's about 30% of the price of buying new ones.

Just think of all the cash you'll save purchase performing this job yourself. That skyrocketing electric bill will be a thing of the past. This is not a difficult process to learn and we are particular that anyone following the above directions can do a perfectly fine .
