SK-STYLE 'Mist of Erté' AW 2011/12 Collection

March 12, 2011 - PRLog -- On Thursday 24thof February 2011 a hot new International fashion designer that has captured the attention of the fashion elite, Sylwia Kaminska, took the city by storm with her new Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 collection ‘Mist of Erté’. An elegant night of VIPs and high end fashion in the beautiful location of No.11 North Great George's Street in Dublin was the perfect setting for this Dublin based designers explosive Irish  debut.

A total of 50 guests attended the private first viewing of the contemporary new line in the exquisitely restored mid 18thcentury house. From political dignitaries to faces from the higher echelons of the fashion world, the guests included, Cllr. Mrs. Catherine Noone, representing the Lord Mayor of Dublin City, Mr. Eddie Shanahan of the Irish Fashion Council, French Ambassador Mrs. Emmanuelle D’Achon, Moroccan Ambassador Mr. Anas Khales, Mr. Shay Howell RTE, Mr. Jim Fitzpatrick internationally renowned artist for his images of Che Guevara, and Agata Stoinska Business Woman of The Year made this intimate event a star studded evening.

Sylwia Kaminska is the founder and creative director of SK-STYLE, an intriguing and innovative company that prides itself on the ability to rival the fashion industry giants with an ethical approach. All fabrics are natural breathable and sourced in an ethically aware mode. From cottons, to Irish woollens, leathers, silks, and furs, even down to the smallest detailing of threads and buttons, this insightful designer is taking a new stance on what it means to take a greener step without looking drab.

The grand unveiling of the collection ‘Mist of Erté’, showcased multi-wearable, sophisticated designs inspired by the first fashion illustrator of Vogue, Romain de Tirtoff a.k.a. Erté, a collection for women with a taste for adventure. Described by top Irish stylist Maria Fusco as “Simply gorgeous”; it takes a modern slant on the capsule wardrobe.

The fashion show was organised in partnership with DiCi Productions, another name to watch out for in the world of media and entertainment, representing a flurry of hot new talents on the up and up. Contributors to the show included Make Up For Ever, Cowboys and Angels hair salon, 1stOption Model Agency, VSL Jewlery and Loraine Domican who really gave the designs a perfect staging for the runway. Sylwia gave a special thanks to all the contributors and sponsors who made the night possible including, Barton & Guestier, Yo! Sushi, Harley Davidson, Balla Ban Art Gallery, music artist Luke Slott, Kiwi Food For Skin, Abana Diamonds, Dublin Sweets, with extra praises to John Aboud owner of the venue, Lepetitjournal.com journalist Catherine Legras, Elisabeth Wichor from the Mercantile Bar, the Merrion Hotel and all the SK-STYLE team for their help on the event. Not forgetting the attendees from charity ‘Because I’m A Girl’ to whom 10% of all proceeds from the current collection get donated.
