AUSTIN, Texas (Mar. 11, 2011) – There’s nothing like a good cause to get people together. Twelve musical acts associated with Everything Independent will hit the road this March to spread their music and help feed people in need for Candid Touring. At their shows, the bands will collect canned goods in lieu of cover and donate them to Feeding America and The Capitol Area Food Bank of Texas. The musicians are working toward a combined goal of 2,000 cans. At the Everything Independent SXSW Day Party at the Revolution Bar on March 17, 15 acts will play and the Local known artist Xero (from artist collective Scabfarm) will then create an installation live at the event with the cans as an interpretation of how music can help create community among all people.
