named the best hospital for "Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery" at Shanghai City's Best
Medical Institution Evaluation.
The Department of Sanitation, Shanghai announced through public notice that “Among
about 1,700 private hospitals in Shanghai, 16 outstanding departments of 15 medical
institutions, including 'Shanghai Wooridul Hospital', have been finally selected through
expert evaluation and a series of deliberation by the Evaluation Committee and the
Department of Sanitation, Shanghai.”
In result of evaluation, ‘Shanghai Wooridul Hospital’ earned high scores in all criteria
required by the Department of Sanitation, Shanghai, including profound specialty in
spine, management objectives, and quality and safety management of medical services.
“The advanced medical technology of Wooridul Hospital is finally acknowledged in
China,” said President Byungjoo Jung of Shanghai Wooridul Hospital. “We would be
able to achieve sustainable growth in the Chinese market with our high-standard medical technology and service mindset based on 28 years of tradition in Korea.”
This evaluation by the Department of Sanitation, Shanghai was implemented to revitalize
private hospitals in China and the Department of Sanitation is planning to support the
medical institutions selected. This is expected to contribute to the PR of Shanghai
