The event is being organised by Sorted Surf Shop (http://www.sortedsurfshop.co.uk/)
Last year’s overall prize went to Gordon Fontaine from France – will the Sorted Surf crown go abroad again this year, or will someone from the UK have what it takes to claim the top prize?
This year’s competition will be split into 4 categories with 32 competitors in each. The categories are Men’s Open, Bodyboards, Juniors, and Stand Up Paddleboard. Entry forms for the competition are available from Sorted Surf Shop.
On top of the main competition, there will be a variety of stalls, activities, and free demo equipment and advice from industry leaders. Event sponsors O’ Neill will also be there, and there will be giveaways and all sorts of exciting stuff from them over the weekend.
The main competition kicks off at around 8am, and the attractions and stalls will open from 9am to 5pm. Prizes for the winners will be presented on Sunday afternoon, once all the finals have finished.
Saturday night is party night, and the place to be is Urban Beach. They are hosting the official Sorted Surf Festival bash at 7.30pm, and anyone who wants to come along is welcome.
It will be a fantastic weekend, so whether you are coming to take part in the competition, bringing the family for an activity-filled day out, or just want to come down and soak up the festival atmosphere, the Sorted Surf Festival is not to be missed.
