Colliers International Brokers Recognized at 2011 ASVB Awards

March 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Colliers International made an impressive showing at this year’s Association of Silicon Valley Brokers (ASVB) awards banquet. Colliers’ agents were awarded top honors for Lease of the Year, Retail Broker of the Year and Rookie of the Year. In addition, Colliers was recognized for having several finalists in the various award categories. Finally, Phil Arnautou of Colliers’ Redwood Shores office was inducted into the ASVB Hall of Fame for his career achievements.

John Machado of Colliers’ San Jose office was honored as Retail Broker of the Year for 2010. For Machado, who is also a member of the ASVB Hall of Fame, it was his ninth Retail Broker of the Year award and his fourth consecutive win in this category. Kevin Moul of Colliers’ San Jose office was acknowledged as Rookie the Year. Senior Vice Presidents Phil Arnautou, Jeff Rogers and Mike Rosendin of Colliers’ Redwood City and San Jose offices were recognized for their participation in the 209,151-square-foot PricewaterhouseCoopers’ lease in downtown San Jose, for which they were awarded ASVB’s Lease of the Year. Colliers represented the landlord, Oracle, in that transaction, which is the largest office lease in the history of downtown San Jose.  

Other finalist recognitions included Chris Twardus of Colliers’ San Jose office for Land Broker of the Year and Paul McManus of the San Jose office for Rookie of the Year.

In addition to supporting the commercial real estate industry of Silicon Valley, ASVB is a charitable organization and the awards banquet included charitable awards totaling approximately $130,000 to the association’s supported charities, Senior Housing Solutions, Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence and the San Jose Family Shelter. For its collective contributions and generosity, Colliers was a co-recipient of the ASVB’s Broker Challenge Award, an award Colliers has been recognized for in eight out of the ten years it has been given.
