March 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Luxury car dealers in the UK are missing out on important vehicle sales according to chauffeur industry website thechauffeur.com.

Even in an economic downturn, the chauffeur industry is responsible for a massive number of luxury vehicle sales as clients demand to be driven in prestigious vehicles at all times. Now, a business to business website aimed at the chauffeur industry has launched a dedicated platform for dealerships to promote high-end vehicles directly to luxury car buyers.

Editor of thechauffeur.com, Paul Gibson commented; “The Chauffeur industry is responsible for tens of millions of pounds worth of sales every year in luxury vehicles, which range from a Mercedes-Benz E-Class to a Rolls-Royce Phantom. Unlike other consumers which dealerships target, chauffeurs always need to update their vehicles to keep standards high and comply with licensing legislation, therefore purchasing cars more often.”

He added; “Many chauffeurs transport A and B list clients, so they cannot be seen to be driving a tatty and tired vehicle with hundreds of thousands of miles on the clock. Our new classifieds website allows dealers to separate luxury stock from the rest and advertise them directly to this unique and large market.”

Dealers can place ads through the website on a one-off basis, but for those with larger stock lists, The Chauffeur Classifieds can offer packages which allow regular stock lists to be uploaded for a lower price.

As an added bonus, adverts places on The Chauffeur Classifieds is promoted through thechauffeur.com and regular newsletters to its readers, which receive more than 20,000 impressions every month.

A survey carried out by thechauffeur.com highlighted the Mercedes-Benz E-Class as the most popular choice for chauffeurs, whilst the BMW 730Ld took the award for The Chauffeur Car of the Year in 2010.  Other vehicles which have seen a surge of sales within the market over the last couples of years include the Volkswagen Phaeton, Lexus LS and Jaguar XJ models.
