FIAT returns to North America with sales to FIAT Lancia Unlimited club member.

March 10, 2011 Gaithersburg, MD – Club FIAT Lancia Unlimited is proud to welcome the return of FIAT automobiles to North America. Criswell FIAT of Gaithersburg, MD has delivered the very first FIAT automobile in the USA since the early 1980s. Club members have kept the enthusiasm for the brand alive. In July 2010, they were rewarded by being able to place early reservations for the first cars to be available. The first five hundred cars are a limited series called the FIAT 500 'Prima Edizione'. Each of the five hundred is numbered. Deliveries begin today to these club members and others who placed reservations.

FIAT is now selling it's iconic 500 model in the USA and Canada at selected FIAT studio dealer locations. The FIAT 500 is an affordable, small, sporty, fuel efficient car with Italian style and flair.

To help celebrate the return of the Italian brand, club FIAT Lancia Unlimited has launched a new website at www.flu.org. There, fans can read about the latest news and find out about both new and vintage vehicles and ownership.

The Club Fiat-Lancia Unlimited (FLU) was founded in 1983 and has been loyally dedicated to the enjoyment of FIAT vehicles and other Italian cars since. The club has local chapters holding regional shows and events.

Club Fiat-Lancia Unlimited maintains a website and publishes “Ricambi”, it's official, full-color bi-monthly magazine, which includes member-written articles, adventure stories, technical tips and classified ads.

The annual National Convention called 'FIAT FreakOut' will be held July 20-24 in Nashville, TN. This event draws hundreds of FIAT and other Italian automobiles and even more attendees. Details will be available at www.flu.org.
