POWER-GEN Europe 2011 unveils technical tour programme

March 8, 2011 - PRLog -- POWER-GEN Europe, the leading event for the international power industry, announces the details of its technical tour programme that will be conducted as part of this year’s event. Providing a unique opportunity to visit leading electricity generation projects in Italy, the tours offer participants the opportunity to experience;

•   A 24 MWe combined heat and power (CHP) plant at Linate airport run by Wärtsilä and EuroPower SpA
•   Sorgenia SpA’s Turano Lodigiano power plant, comprised of two gas turbines and a steam turbine
•   EniPower’s Ferrera Erbognone combined cycle gas turbine facility
•   The last nuclear power plant to be commissioned in Italy at Caorso, scheduled to reach “green field” condition by 2017
•   Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico’s combined heat and power (CHP) and combined cooling heat and power (CCHP) plants

The technical tours will all take place on 6 June and will cost €90. The details were announced ahead of POWER-GEN Europe, which is being held at Fiera Milano City in Milan, from 7-9 June. Visitors to the event will also have access to Europe’s leading renewable and nuclear energy exhibitions, POWER-GEN Europe 2011, and Renewable Energy World Europe 2011. In addition, all three events will be complemented by a comprehensive conference programme, providing participants with a deeper understanding of a wide range of industry issues.
