Considered by many to be the best-loved and most successful movie musical in history, The Sound of Music took home five Oscars, including Best Picture. Its soundtrack stands in history as the best selling musical of all time going Platinum more than 12 times. Its landmark score includes some of the most beloved songs in the American songbook including “My Favourite Things,” “Edelweiss,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “Do Re Mi,” "The Lonely Goatherd", “Sixteen Going on Seventeen,” and the wonderful title song. A true and moving story, The Sound Of Music recalls the touching and dramatic memories of Maria and the Von Trapp family, and their struggle to freedom as their homeland of Austria faces up to Nazi conversion, just prior to the Second World War.

The production features lavish costumes, a sumptuous set, and a wonderful orchestral musical score and stars a cast of the very best in Broadway, West End and UAE talent. Starring as Maria is Lucy Hunter-James (Blood Brothers/ Fame) and the cast includes Ian Knauer as Captain Von Trapp (Mamma-Mia /Doctor Dolittle on Broadway), Donna Hazelton as Mother Abbess (Winner of British TV’s Musicality and star of Chicago, West End), Alison Guill as Elsa (Phantom of The Opera / The Sound Of Music, West End) and Christopher Blades (Jekyll & Hyde/Phantom Of The Opera, West End).
