The Greater Palm Bay Chamber Kicks Off 2011 Vacation Contest

March 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Through the use of grant funds from the Tourist Development Council (TDC), the chamber created new billboard designs that posted in select high-traffic thoroughfares in Broward and Palm Beach counties. The boards promote Palm Bay, Florida as an affordable and relaxing vacation spot and encourages visitors to apply for the free three-day two- night stay via the chamber website.

   Hotel, car rental and restaurant vouchers are all included and each of the three winners can select a different vacation theme such as sports, eco-tourism or fun in the sun. Winners will be selected and notified by email by May 31st. The value for each vacation is $1,000.

   Each year the TDC allocates grant funds to each of the four Chambers of Commerce in Brevard to promote tourism in their areas. The Palm Bay Chamber chose the billboards along with a new video to promote the City of Palm Bay.
   
   To produce the creative needed for the video and billboards, the chamber selected Online Video to produce the 10 minute video that will be distributed in relocation packages and sent to prospective visitors to the area. For the billboards, the chamber signed on with Clear Channel Outdoor for the billboard space and 360 Communications for the design.
   
   The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, formed in 1989, has more than 900 active, prospective and courtesy members and is accredited with the US Chamber of Commerce with a four-star ranking, a distinguished honor bestowed to only select Chambers.
