The choice of the floor: some ideas for any needs

March 7, 2011 - PRLog -- This is an important moment and we have to think about it carefully, for most of us the choice of the materials represents a critical point, in particular for the final result that we want to have and that gives to the rooms and to the exterior spaces a specific atmosphere.


The floor can change the atmosphere and give a touch of design and originality. The choice of the floors asks attention, in particular for esthetic reason but also the quality of materials is required, they have to be the better ones and they have to ‘get on well’ with the entire atmosphere that we want to reproduce. From an esthetical point of view we need to consider the final furniture that we are planning to put into the rooms in order to obtain the best situation. Thanks to new technologies it is possible to utilize and choose better floors, in particular the new heating plant system for floors. Furthermore new possibilities are also interesting in the external areas, in fact it is possible now to use it, and the final result is wonderful.

There is a wide range of materials for all tastes and with different kind of prices. The traditional one is in the wood floor, that it is also known as ‘parquet’ (a French word). This is a fine and precious material and it came from North Europe, in fact it is possible to find different kind of wood with different special colors, a wide choice, one for every taste. Features are different, every kind of wood has a specific one, but it is important first of all to choose hard woods, strong and resistant one. Some examples are: beech, chestnut, oak tree, larch but also new modern ones like olive and ebony, all with different nuances and veins. A fundamental feature of wood floors is that wood can regular thermic changes thanks to the thermal insulation function.

We have to pay attention when we think to buy covering materials in particular wood covering and floors, in fact floors with a low price are not recommended, usually this kind of floors are created and composed with poor components. Floors have to be resistant and a defective floor or covering will be a problem for the future. Also it is important how the floors is and the propriety and the difference in term of quality.


We have also to consider the importance of the floors in the bathroom, also here we can realize a wood floors, it is modern and is waterproof. Wood is a natural material and it has a fantastic touch effect but it is necessary to find the better one for us in order to avoid future problems and inconveniences.
