March 6, 2011 - PRLog -- When you go through divorce or separation with children they are going to get hurt. Their world will be turned upside down and it will be critical for you as their parent and role model to be your best. Separated and divorcing parents now have another resource to draw from to help their children through the emotional rollercoaster… a children’s eBook about parental separation and divorce called “Something’s Changing” written and produced by trusted authority Garnet Mierau, the Divorce Ecologist.

“Something’s Changing” is a very unique Children’s eBook about parental separation and divorce. For more than 20 years, Garnet has worked as a registered professional forester in British Columbia, Canada. What he has discovered now that he is on his own divorce journey, much of what he has learned about ecosystems, importance of connectivity and life cycles can be used as metaphors for growth and healing for himself and his young school-aged children. His children’s story is an extension of his creative and innate ability to resonate with children.

In his book, Mierau explains how things change over time by tapping into the imaginative power of a child’s mind. In the story, the parents evolve into forest animals (a bird and a bear) while the children become trees (the forest ecosystem). It is a brilliant slant on the law of attraction, a positive mental attitude and the importance of family connectivity based on ecosystems and healthy challenges that we all face in life.

When asked why he wrote the story, Mierau comments, “In 2009 I agonized for nearly 11 months over the idea of having to tell my children that mommy and daddy were going to separate. I have never felt so afraid in my life. In the months leading up to it, I had looked for the "how to" help both online and offline.  I read a lot of material, much of it was good. But just not quite what I was looking for. Then someone else who had been there before me inspired me. She had written and published her own children’s book about parental separation and I knew right then that that was my solution.”

Interestingly enough, it took Garnet another three months to read his story to his children. At the time, they were 6 and 8 years old. He explained to them that he had written a story for them and it still needed a title. Here’s what he had to say about the origins of the title of his eBook, “…so there we were, the three of us all snuggled in bed reading a bunch of blank pages. When I finished the last page, my six-year-old daughter Lindsay looked up at me and said, "it's called Something's Changing".

“Something’s Changing: A Children’s eBook About Parental Separation and Divorce” is now available for purchase online at Garnet’s website under the “Offers” tab. Of special interest is his product launch bonus to the first 27 people that purchase “Something’s Changing”. Mierau added, “I really want families to heal and it struck me while creating the offer page on my website that it would be powerful and fun to have a custom version for every family. Right now, I don’t know how to ‘automate’ it so I want to learn and reward those who take action right away by using their children’s names, tree species and animals in their own versions of the book.”

Details on the Garnet’s product launch incentive can be found on his content rich website dedicated to helping families navigate through the emotional divorce journey at http://helpingchildrenthroughdivorce.com, while his eBook “Something’s Changing” can be found there under the Offers Tab.
