Follow on Google News | Bernie Parent's Book Released! Not what you think! It's not what you think. It's not another tired biography or sports play-by-play. Although he touches upon his life and sports career, the book is geared to helping people overcome fear and anxieties related to finding goals and purpose.
By: Balletsa Inc The book, broken into three parts, helps the reader decipher how to get over anxiety and fear related to finding their true potential and happiness, while also learning how to network and find people in their "pack" to help them run with a crowd, but to be their own "wolf". Parent describes himself as a wolf, who doesn't want to be a dog. He compares the two. "A dog sits inside, looking at the world in the comfort of a home but always just looking. It's not natural. A wolf experiences life. Many people just look at life like a bystander, not really fully experiencing it." Parent teaches people who to change from observer to experiencing life, and in a way that if you are out of work, it can help you create the situation into an opportunity, and if you are a CEO and want to switch careers or get to a new place, it can help you there as well. One of the writers on the project, Michele Paiva, stated, "As a writer and publisher on this project, I really fully expected to simply bring thought to paper, package it and move on. I didn't expect to become emotionally connected to the project, even in the beginning stages. It completely changed my life. Unlike other self help books that drag a topic out, this cuts to the chase and it covers a lot of material that normally one would have to purchase several books to get." Dean Smith, Parents manager and also headlining as a writer, was predominately the "interview" man on the project. "Knowing Bernie for years and knowing him well enough, I felt I knew more so what to ask and knew his style. I had questions, most of which were mine, some from Paiva and much offered by Parent, and we taped hours and hours of interviews for Paiva. It was a project; we had times where we had to go back and forth and really try to get in Bernie's mind, because we knew he has this wealth of knowledge to share." The book is available limited edition hard back at www.bernieparent.net for $25 plus shipping and also, is available on Amazon for $19.99 http://www.amazon.com/ End
