ON THE MARK Contracts with Major US Foods Distributor for Organization Design Work

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 4, 2011 - ON THE MARK (OTM), a leading international business transformation consultancy with offices in Phoenix and London, UK, announced they have initiated organization design project work with a major US foods distributor. Managing Principal Mark LaScola commented “This particular project focuses on redesigning and transforming the demand part of the business based upon the need to be closer to their customers and be more competitive.”

LaScola anticipates the initial Foundation work will be completed by end of April.  “One of the most unfortunate occurrences in business transformation is that most executives’ understanding of ‘organization design’ is highly fragmented and over-simplistic – seeing it only as the re-arranging of boxes on an ‘org chart’.  What they fail to understand is that organization design is really about the fit between the organization’s business strategy and core values with its core production processes, structure, power, management systems, technical and social systems combined. Accounting for all of these factors will make or break a company’s performance and is a solid predictor of whether or not its business strategy will be delivered.”

Work on the new project began in late February 2011.
