The Allendale Community for Mature Living Welcomes Individuals and Groups to Share Talents

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 4, 2011 - The Allendale Community for Mature Living in Allendale, N.J., a pioneer in eldercare living since 1967, offers an array of opportunities for individuals and groups who would like to share their interests and talents with older adults residing at its three senior communities, including The Atrium, an apartment-rental community; the assisted living residence Carlton Court; and The Allendale Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, which offers long-term skilled nursing and short-term subacute care. Regular visitors include the Guardian Angel Church, Hawthorne Gospel Choir, Fair Lawn Jewish Chorale, First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey, Mood Swing Quartet and Holy Cross Lutheran Church as well as local Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops and Northern Highlands Regional High School students.

Recently, Allison Macri (center) a master's candidate studying vocal performance, musical theater and vocal instruction at New York University, performed for residents of The Atrium as an extension of a program she started while pursuing her Girl Scout Gold Award in high school. She, along with Nicole Symon (left), a 6th grader at Cavallini Middle School in Upper Saddle River; Kristin Macri (right), a student at Ramapo College studying music therapy; and Tracy Kirschner (not pictured), who teaches music in Nyack, performed traditional and popular music selections for Atrium residents and guests.
