March 4, 2011 - PRLog -- With all respect for what Libya faces regarding Muammar Gaddafi, as well as Charlie Sheen's roller coaster personal scorecard, Lauren Francesca's new YouTube channel hits a comedy game home run, putting them together in a wild interview parody video.

In the mock 4:45 duration TV interview sequence, actress, comedian and Viral Video sensation Lauren Francesca (whose viral videos for the Key of Awesome, Barely Political and Lady Gaga parodies have been viewed more than 200 million times) is cast as a straight news journalist, her job to ask the tough questions of troubled Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, played by Fais Landerstein, as well as Charlie Sheen, played by Walter Masterson (Law and Order note).

Dry wit rules in this played straight interview that begins with shot of a NY POST headline that reads "WHY CHARLIE SHEEN COULD RUN LIBYA, cutting to Francesca dressed very conservatively (a rarity, Lauren's video appearances are highly praised not only for the fantastic numbers her videos get in views but also for admiration of her own personal measurements). She is introduced by a banner below as "REGINA REGAN, correspondent," who introduces the story by reading the NY POST headline to us and that  the two have "met on Twitter and have decided to team up," becoming a spirited and sympathetic mutual admiration society social network of two, bonded in strife by the magic of the Tweet and their troubles and personal battles with the Milky Way at large.

Gaddafi is introduced by banner subtitle as  " Muammar Gaddafi, Charlie Sheen Comrade," and Sheen as  "Charlie Sheen, winning." The questions then start to delve into the new team effort, and Masterson's Sheen is superb parody as is Landerstein's Gaddafi, as Francesca prods into how together they will "WIN" (winning being a current top theme of Mr. Sheen's in his battle against, well, everything of late it seems), The dialog enters quickly into the realm of comedy of the absurd, but played so straight that you can't help but be impressed and admire the great acting work in the characterizations while you get some incredible laughs out of a subject and scenario that no one had yet thought of putting together in such a fashion.

World news full of trouble and worry of late, it's nice to see that someone can approach such topical issues and stories with both consideration and respect for their seriousness but also be a pressure valve for good healthy humor.

"There's not a person in this troupe or crew who do not wish the very best for and a peaceful conclusion to the horrible violence also for the troubled citizens and nation of Libya, and we  all happen to be huge Charlie Sheen fans as well. But we're comedians and firmly believe that humor heals and can help us all through difficult times," said a spokesperson for the Francesca team.

Francesca's new YouTube Channel has been hailed since it's Valentine's Day launch on Feb 14, 2011, chalking up some great ratings, and this latest effort is bound to be a favorite of many.
