March 3, 2011 - PRLog -- With an impressive 720 different species of animal, ZSL London zoo is the ultimate way to throw yourself directly into the heart of the animal kingdom. Located in the north east corner of London’s Regent’s Park, this fantastic zoo is open every day of the year, apart from Christmas day where of course the animals will be otherwise engaged with their festivities.

ZSL’s inspiring exhibits continue to bring in visitors from all around the world. Whether you wish to run alongside the tigers in the Animal Adventure exhibit or prefer to slowly amble along after the Galapagos tortoises, there is an animal or display at ZSL which everybody will love.

Luckily, the interactive experience available at ZSL zoo (http://www.redletterdays.co.uk/Experience/London/London-Adventure-Days) has just stepped up a notch. In addition to the superb displays, the Zoo are now offering you the opportunity to don your very own zoo keeping uniform and get involved hands-on with caring for the animals.
This experience is truly a dream come true for any animal lover, where you will be able to actually assist one of the zookeepers with their vital daily tasks for the day. In addition to feeding, mucking out enclosures and preparing food, you will also meet and greet hundreds of different animals, all of whom have their own unique characters.

If you are perhaps unsure as to when to book your experience, a particularly exciting new exhibit that ZSL staff affectionately refer to as ‘Penguin Beach’ (http://www.redletterdays.co.uk/Experience/Ref/ZSLBA/An-In...), will be launched at the end of May. The zoo’s special little flippered friends are soon to receive a new and significantly improved home in the form of a recreated South American beach landscape in the heart of London. Stunning colonies of Humboldt and Macaroni penguins will be soaring around under water, only the new exhibit will actually enable you to see them beneath the surface.

In addition to the penguins, ZSL’s busy zoo houses lions, camels, lemurs, zebras, hippos and many others. Remember that working with any animal will always carry a degree of risk, but your keeper will be fully brief you on the best approach to each particular animal and you will have somebody with you at all times. ZSL are fully equipped and will take all necessary precautions and as long as you follow their instructions there should not be any danger involved in any of the activities. For example, your keeper will warn you beforehand as the lions do not like to be disturbed during their afternoon snooze!

All-in-all, ZSL are doing the very best job they can in helping, caring for and ensuring the existence of animals all over the world, and they heartily welcome your help. All of the animals (http://www.redletterdays.co.uk/Experience/Ref/ZSLBB/An-In...) at ZSL are excited to meet you, but be careful they don’t steal your free lunch! After having gotten up close and personal with all of the animals you love, ZSL will give you a certificate along with some extra goodies in order to fully commemorate this truly special experience.
