March 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Kasai Masai’s original compositions exceed traditional expectations of Congolese music with galloping rhythms, strong melodies, passionate beats, swinging guitars, moving saxophone and the fast-paced style of Soukous and African Rumba which is impossible to stay still to.

Kasai Masai’s music reflects their journey from rural to urban performing music which has been passed on from generation to generation combined with their own contemporary style and performed in traditional Congolese costumes. Written in Swahili, Lingala and Kimongo, Kasai Masai’s lyrics portray the cultural diversity of Congo where more than four hundred languages are spoken.

This Congolese experience also includes an African dance workshop taking place before the concert and lead by Kasai Masai’s Nickens Nkoso.

"...Kasaï Masaï successfully marry a respect for vintage grooves with an overwhelming urge to move the dance floor. This is the sound of the old and the new, of the countryside and the city, from deep in the heart of Africa..."
