JETprotect Corporation introduces ‘Lieutenant™’ iPhone™ & iPad™ Apps for Threat Responders

March 2, 2011 - PRLog -- The iPhone™ and iPad™ are excellent sensory portals into remote security sites. They offer crystal clear live video and detailed situational mapping information.  Lieutenant™ is JETprotect’s  software layer of the ActiveSentry™ security solution adapted to the iPhone™.

Description and Operation:
Launch Lieutenant™ and the application establishes a connection with the site, performs a secure authentication and places the site’s situational map data on the display. The application shows what the radar and camera see and also shows geo-tracking of the perpetrator in real time.  Keeping with Apple’s innovative ‘gesture’ interface of the iPhone™ and iPad™, Lieutenant™ lets the user move quickly between mapping data and camera video.  
The graphical user interface (GUI) is a simple 3 button main screen to reach multiple sites, sensor imagery and preferences.  The SITE button shows a list of existing secure sites to move among.  Included are the tools to add or delete sites and set authentication.
The PREF button gives the user a range of displays.  When viewing a site, the display can show the aerial map of the location, colored zones that determine when a detected trespasser activates an alert, show trespassers and track them  on the map.  The link to the user manual for the app is also provided from this window (www.jet-protect.com/public/JETphone.pdf).
From the VIEW button, all sensors at the site are available for the user to access and receive live imagery.  If the sensor is a camera with pan/tilt/zoom ability, the viewer’s  finger gestures can move and zoom the camera to enhance the visual perception.
