March 2, 2011 - PRLog -- LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort (LVSSR) is offering local employees a chance to ski Vegas mid-week at the reduced rate of $35 for a full-day adult lift ticket. The 30 percent discount, which goes into effect Monday, March 7, 2011 and runs through the last day of the season on Saturday, April 30, 2011, is being offered to local residents who work in the service industry or who are members of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.

“We’re having a really great year and we want to encourage the community to take advantage of the great skiing and snowboarding conditions,” says Curt Sheffield, LVSSR’s director of business affairs. “We have plenty of snow and sunshine, so it’s a great time for a novice to learn to ski or board, or for a veteran to have fun in the powder stashes in the trees.”

On Monday and Tuesday, local service industry employees, including anyone who works at a hotel, bar or restaurant, can obtain the discounted lift ticket price by merely presenting either their employee identification or a current paystub. Members of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce can receive the discount every Wednesday and Thursday by presenting their Chamber Membership Rewards Card.

Lift tickets can be purchased at the LVSSR lift ticket office in the base lodge area, which opens daily at 8:45 a.m. For more information, guests can call the LVSSR office at 702-385-2754 or visit www.skilasvegas.com.
