"Ponzio's diner is very much a part of my pack, they help nourish me!", said Parent.
Parent opted to start the book tour in his own hometown, at one of his favorite places to catch a bite of a fajita omelette in the morning or a Violetta Salad; a grilled chicken, pear and cranberry delight, in the afternoon.
Not your typical diner, though you can find Americana-diner mainstays such as pancakes and burgers, you'll also enjoy an eclectic european selection while enjoying a casual dining experience, reminiscent of what family values were built upon.
Speaking of families, the diner has been family owned since the 60's, about the timeframe that Parent was forging his way into a professional ice-hockey career.
Bernie Parent actually started his book in that timeframe also, though a the time, he didn't know it. He was learning valuable lessons then, and through the years, to share with readers and fans, to help them share the "#1" as his retired Jersey displays, so that everyone can be the number one in their own lives, second to none.
"There are a lot of people who don't know what their purpose is, or how to find it, or are confused. In order to get somewhere you need a purpose, or you just go in circles," said Parent. He continued, "My book solves that problem. I don't care if you are a CEO or out of work, this book is going to help you find your purpose, and be happier. I show you how to overcome fear, and break down goals to get to where you want to be."
Parent will be at Ponzios on March 29th from 6-10 am, and April 2nd from 2-5 in the afternoon, with "limited edition hard copy" books available for purchase and signing. Don't forget your camera and appetite!
