Arabic Studies International Boosts Social Media Integration

March 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Arabic Studies International (ASI), an online organization of over 215 individuals from 48 different countries supporting Arabic professions, is pleased to announce increased integration with social media.  

The organization is known for promoting discussion, jobs in the field, scholarships and study opportunities.  In order to increase the outreach effort, ASI has added links to Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook to reach a larger audience.  The ASI web site has proven extremely popular with thousands of hits each month.  The most popular features include a job board, a listing of member publications, and a monthly e-newsletter that reports on upcoming calls for papers, abstracts, conferences, and news of interest to the Arabic fields of study.  Student members enjoy regular updates on scholarships and grants for which they may be eligible.  These updates are now being posted on Twitter and Facebook but the entire detail is a member-only feature.
