Newton Abbot To Return With A Bumper Season

March 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Newton Abbot Racecourse are under starter’s orders for the opening fixture of their 2011 season on Monday 7th March.

Returning to action after a six-month break, the racecourse is promising a bigger and better season this year.

Newton Abbot recently announced the addition of an extra race fixture on October 7th, extending their racing season by a month. Racegoers will also benefit from a longer day at the races, with all fixtures this year featuring 7 races.

Mindful of the current economic climate, the racecourse is continuing with their Super Monday Specials promotion, giving racing enthusiasts the opportunity to buy two Paddock Enclosure tickets for the price of one for all Monday fixtures. This year, a third of the Newton Abbot fixtures will fall under this money-saving offer.

Regulars will notice a number of developments have been made at the course since the end of last season. Newton Abbot have spent £250k to enhance the racing experience for its customers.

The new developments include a new alfresco catering outlet serving the Paddock and Course Enclosure with a canopy-covered decked seating area, a new toilet block near the Family Enclosure, a tree-lined thoroughfare between the Course and Paddock Enclosure and the re-location of the public car entrance.

Due to the building works for the new hotel, racegoers will now enter the racecourse via the old Bowls Centre entrance on Greenhill Way.
