March 2, 2011 - PRLog -- BRITAIN’S post-recession economic challenges have not slowed the growth of Cheshire based asset-management specialist Arena Instrumentation who are predicting rising activity and increased profitability during 2011.

The Ellesmere Port based technology company is not only recruiting new technical staff for its UK and world-wide operations but has also invested in ensuring availability of highly qualified personnel in the future with an in-house apprenticeship scheme.

“This is going to be another record-breaking year for Arena,” said David Dawe Managing Director of £3.5 million turnover organization which employs 65 full time staff in offices across the UK.

“We are expecting turnover to break through the £4 million barrier in this financial year with an increase in profits and we are confident that growth will continue. We continue to work with blue chip clients including Rolls Royce, Astra Zeneca and the NHS, all of whom recognise our technical expertise and our client base is continually to expanding,” he added, speaking from the company’s Rossmore Business Village HQ.

Over more than 20 years, Arena Instrumentation has grown into Britain’s largest independent calibration and maintenance service provider for a wide range of clients from the pharmaceutical industry to specialist design companies.

As well as offering advice on the purchase of specialized process and laboratory equipment, Arena’s teams of engineers can ensure that equipment is working effectively and efficiently over its lifetime and can ultimately oversee its disposal and replacement.
Arena’s experts also ensure the instrumentation in laboratories, factories, gas generation plants and power networks are calibrated and working effectively.

Mr. Dawe said Arena’s continued growth was due to the quality and range of its staff’s engineering and scientific expertise combined with a competitive pricing policy.

“Although equipment manufacturers provide technical servicing and support, here at Arena, we tend to be more competitively priced and we have the capability to handle a wide range of technical tasks from servicing to calibration and much more.”

Director of Services, Kevin Dobson said finding and recruiting the right people with the right skills was crucial for Arena’s continued growth.

He said: “That is why we have invested in our own apprenticeship scheme. Ensuring we have the highly qualified engineers and technicians required to offer a first class services is paramount.”
