March 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Mark Consiglio is a prominent BC Developer, with over twenty five years of Real Estate Development experience and is the CEO of The Consiglio Group, located in Kelowna, British Colombia, Canada. Mark attended the University of Western Ontario. His business partner and wife, Nicola Consiglio, holds an Interior Design Diploma Qualification and has ten years of land development experience. Mark is an experienced developer that understands the difficulties of the business and knows what it takes to get the job done right. Mark's successful track record throughout this past recession demonstrates his abilities and experience. Nicola's design qualification and finishing expertise compliment Mark's skillset.
Mark and Nicola are the proud parents to six children. They support Charitable causes such as Crime Stoppers, The Canadian Cancer Society, The Miss Kelowna Lady of the Lake Society, World Vision, Ballet Kelowna, The Rotary Center for the Arts and BC Children's Hospital. Mark, together with the late Sindi Hawkins, helped raise over one million dollars for Cancer research, by hosting a Lance Armstrong Tour of Courage event, at Kelowna Mountain. The Consiglio Group is determined to make a difference in their community by creating jobs and amenities for the youth, fighting crime in the community, supporting all levels of law enforcement, as well as creating attractions that will benefit Kelowna's tourism industry.
Mark began his real estate development career in the eighties, gained his experience during the nineties and formed The Consiglio Group  in 2001. Mark has had a perfect development track record during the past decade and consistently received his development approvals, in all jurisdictions, throughout his entire one hundred million dollar, twenty-five year career.
Mark has dedicated many public trails and parks throughout his career. He will continue to use a green and sustainable approach, in his current and future projects.

Seems like a bit of juxtaposition but not when you talk to Mark Consiglio. Mark, at his Cottages at secret point development, did not cut down a single tree, he came up with the idea of a salmon sensitive dock made out of plexi glass that is removed in the fall and installed for boating enthusiasts in the spring and his Roots Lodge development more than fifteen years ago was built above ground so that nature was left undisturbed.  “I always try to come up with ways to develop with an environmental approach.” I don’t like to brag about the environmentally conscious things I do and most of the time it goes unnoticed.”  All Developers are painted with the same brush and it is really hard to break free from that but it still does not stop me from doing anything I can do to make a difference.” I am highly considering Zero Scape landscaping at our Kelowna Mountain project.”  I heard a great quote from Robert Bateman “ support good development with the same vigour as you would oppose bad development” it went something like that and I have never forgotten it. I have always had that saying in the back of my mind as I envision the next project. It’s almost become my philosophy. Development is going to happen regardless, so make it great and make it as green as possible
