March 2, 2011 - PRLog -- A special section in the March, 2011 issue Airplanista Magazine (http://airplanista.com) will take a hard look at the economics of business aviation from numerous angles. This collection of articles by Airplanista Editor Dan Pimentel will look at the sector’s financial health in its recent past, as well as the current state of the industry and what we can expect going forward.

"Business aviation is at the very heart of general aviation," said Airplanista Editor and private pilot Dan Pimentel. "This exciting aviation sector, and it’s not just executives and movie stars flying across oceans either. These high-end flyers are the most visible example of people and companies using private airplanes for work, and play. Each day, thousands of companies use single-engine piston and light twin airplanes, turboprops and jets to gain a competitive advantage. These business airplanes allow these smart companies to fly on a more dependable schedule, and on most trips, smaller rural or reliever airports away from big cities can be utilized to deliver personnel closer to their final destination."

For this special section, large companies who have used private airplanes to grow their business, airframe manufacturers, charter operators, large business jet manufacturers and FBOs were interviewed. Presented are the findings and comments from the National Business Aircraft Association (NBAA), Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, Butler National Corporation, Wisconsin Aviation, McGill Aviation, Flexjet, Sky Limo Air Charter and XOJET.
