German Ambassador Visits Ontario Solar Provider's Offices

March 1, 2011 - PRLog -- The German Ambassador to Canada, Dr. Georg Witschel, visited the offices of Ontario Solar Provider (OSP) in Toronto on Friday, February 25th to discuss the solar PV market in Ontario. The Ambassador, along with Consul General Sabine Sparwasser, received a tour and then sat down with the company’s owners to discuss the possibilities of facilitating German manufacturers and investors to come to Ontario.

“With the only solar FIT program in North America, Ontario has presented a significant opportunity for German companies to bring their extensive solar know-how to an attractive high-growth market” said Christian Wentzel, CEO of OSP. His Excellency the Ambassador and the Consul General commended the company for attracting foreign capital to Canada, hiring and training Canadians in a high-growth industry as well as bringing best practices from Germany to Ontario.
