RecruitMilitary to Present Civilian Jobs/Opportunities Expo for Veterans in Philadelphia on March 31

RecruitMilitary, a military-to-civilian recruiting firm, will present a free civilian employment, business-opportunity, and education event for job seekers with military backgrounds at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Thursday, March 31.
 
Feb. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Cincinnati, OH -- RecruitMilitary, a military-to-civilian recruiting firm, will present a free civilian employment, business-opportunity, and education event for job seekers who have military backgrounds at Lincoln Financial Field, home of  the Philadelphia Eagles, on Thursday, March 31. The event will be open to veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members. The event, called the RecruitMilitary Veteran Opportunity Expo, will take place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The company expects more than 35 employers, franchisors, and educational institutions to reserve exhibitor booths at the Expo. Already signed up are Amazon, Amtrak, Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Chesapeake Energy Corporation, Delaware Valley College, the Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Commission, DeVry University, Farmers Insurance, Giorgio Foods, Grand Canyon University, International Yacht Restoration School, Jantech Services Inc., Lincoln College of Technology, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Military Sealift Command, New Horizons of Greater Philadelphia, New York Life Insurance Company, Omnilift Inc., Packers Sanitation, the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Penske Automotive, Pepco Holdings Inc., Philadelphia University, the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, Prudential Insurance Company, Snap-On Tools, the Social Security Administration, State Farm Insurance, The Home Depot, 20/20 Companies, United States Secret Service, and Verizon Wireless.

RecruitMilitary (http://www.recruitmilitary.com ) will produce the Expo in cooperation with The American Legion (http://www.legion.org), an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has about 2.4 million members in 14,000 posts throughout the world. Congress chartered and incorporated the association in 1919.

RecruitMilitary has scheduled 50 additional Expos for 2011. Those events will take place in Atlanta, Baltimore, Birmingham, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Colorado Springs, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New York, Norfolk, Philadelphia (on July 28 and November 3), Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Richmond, St. Louis, San Diego, San Jose, Tacoma, Tampa, and Washington.
