United Aesthetics Organization Hosts Educational Talk on Microneedling

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 27, 2011 - Members of the beauty industry are invited to attend a lecture on a new skin resurfacing technique Monday, March 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at International Academy of Hair Design and College of Aesthetics, 4812 S. Mill Ave. in Tempe. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. Seating is limited an early registration is advised.

    Non-Laser Resurfacing, also known as Microneedling, Skin Needling, Microneedle Therapy, or Collagen Induction Therapy, was originally pioneered by renowned South African plastic surgeon Dr. Desmond Fernandes. The concept behind the therapy is to create a controlled microscopic injury that causes an inflammatory response that activates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin. The end result is new skin regeneration.
