Non-Laser Resurfacing, also known as Microneedling, Skin Needling, Microneedle Therapy, or Collagen Induction Therapy, was originally pioneered by renowned South African plastic surgeon Dr. Desmond Fernandes. The concept behind the therapy is to create a controlled microscopic injury that causes an inflammatory response that activates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin. The end result is new skin regeneration.
“I have practiced this wonderful treatment in conjunction with chemicals and have studied this process for more than nine years,” said Pamela Abshear, a licensed aesthetician who will be giving the lecture. Those who wish to enroll in training can do so after the talk.
“Ongoing education is a must for those in the beauty industry and this procedure seems truly remarkable,”
