EE & RES Project Financing in South East Europe

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 25, 2011 - Starting with EE & RES Financing, European Local Energy Assistance will explain its services, covering the cost of technical support to finance the program. You will find out everything necessary to make sustainable energy projects ready for EIB funding. European Sustainable Investment Forum research shows the global financial, environmental, and social crises were a wake-up call for many investors. Public pension funds, reserve funds, universities and insurance companies are the main institutional investors to start actions.

Finance in Motion will introduce the Green for Growth Fund for Southeast Europe started by the EIB and KFW. It finances and supports financial institutions and directly invests in renewable energy, with a five year investment target of €400 million.

The Bulgarian Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the Ministry of Agriculture will present the Structural Funds and Rural Development Program for financing EE & RES Projects. Foreign banks support 50% of the Rural Program.

UniCredit Leasing will detail the financing structures for RES projects in Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey. The US Ex-Im-Bank is also invited to highlight its Solar Express Program as a case study in renewable energy.

Then join a discussion on legislative and economic challenges to the growth of renewables. SE Europe is attractive for RES investment, so learn how local developers can compete with international firms.

Fifteen speakers from ten countries will lead the Waste-to-Energy session. A highlight will be Solar Balkans: the first PV b2b forum.
