Feb. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- The newest addition to the 2011 BMW3 series, the 2011 BMW 335 is available now at Georgia BMW dealer, BMW of Macon. After receiving Car & Driver 10Best trophies for the last 19 years in a row, the BMW 3-series recently took home Number 20 for its 2011 offerings.

Georgia BMW shoppers will love the new 335, which provides a 320-horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine, with a new seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission optional.  EPA estimated fuel economy ratings have improved to 17-19 mpg in the city and 24-28 mpg on the highway.

For 2011, BMW implemented several new exterior changes including a new hood, front and rear fascias and a refreshed twin-kidney grille, while the 335 boasts a restyled front air dam with larger air intakes.  Adaptive Xenon headlights are surrounded with LED lighting, and the rear adds LED taillights. For a tighter ride, BMW’s Active Steering system adjusts turning rate for a given turn of the steering wheel.  For wind-in-the-hair enjoyment, the convertible and its power retractable hardtop that retracts in just 22 seconds, can’t be beat.

Inside, the 2011 BMW 335 models have newly designed (and still-optional) steering-wheel shift paddles for models equipped with automatic transmissions.

As with the 328i, Georgia BMW shoppers will note that the 2011 335 is offered with a choice of six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmissions. BMW will continue to make xDrive all-wheel drive available on all 3-series coupes. BMW estimates that the manually-equipped rear-wheel-drive 335 coupe can accelerate to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds, with the drop top requiring 5.5 seconds. Add another 0.2 second to each time for the automatics.

To make the 335 a track-worthy vehicle, BMW upgraded the cooling system with an additional radiator and also beefed up the engine mounts. Inside are standard sport seats, steel pedals, an M Sport steering wheel, and textured aluminum.  For those who prefer not to shift for themselves, BMW is offering its seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The DCT system is identical to the one in the M3 and comes with steering-wheel-mounted paddle-type shifters.

Other options Georgia BMW shoppers may want to consider for the 335 include a sunroof; Logic7 audio system with 13 speakers, which includes two subwoofers, iPod/iPhone USB integrated system, Sirius Satellite Radio and dynamic cruise control, which apply the brakes to maintain a safe distance when cruising. The Premium Package adds leather upholstery and the Climate Package adds heated front seats and steering wheel, retractable headlight washers and fold-down rear seats.

The 2011 BMW 335 is loaded with safety technologies, including side curtain airbags (coupe and sedan only), side-impact airbags, antilock brakes, an electronic stability system designed to enhance brake performance, and active front head restraints all standard.  Front and rear parking assist monitors; anti-theft alarm and automatic high beams and BMW Assist (which connects you with roadside assistance) with Bluetooth connectivity are optional.
