Feb. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- From the original bank rolls struck at the Melbourne Mint in 1892, these Gold Victorian Sovereigns sat undisturbed in the vaults of a Swiss Bank for over a centaury.

As such, these coins have remained in a remarkable uncirculated condition with full original mint bloom.

Each coin shows the Jubilee Head portrait of Queen Victoria, who had celebrated her Jubilee in 1887 with a new portrait design featuring a tall crown. The reverse shows the classic St George and Dragon design by Pistrucci that graced Australian Sovereigns until the final issue in 1931. Above the date is the M for Melbourne Mintmark that distinguishes these coins from the standard British Issue.

An opportunity for collectors to own an original piece of Australian history; these scarce Sovereigns are now available at International Numismatics at affordable prices!

Uncirculated $650.00
Choice Uncirculated $1,350.00
