Buena Vida Estates To Provide Residents with State-of-the-Art Physicians Clinic and Wellness Center

Feb. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Buena Vida Estates, located in West Melbourne, becomes Brevard County’s first retirement community to offer its residents a Physicians Clinic and Wellness Center. The public is invited to the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting celebration on March 9th from 2 to 4 p.m.

The first of its kind in retirement living in Brevard County, Buena Vida’s Physicians Clinic and Wellness Center provides residents with access to a complete array of on-site health and wellness professionals that include gerontologists, geriatricians, family nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and a podiatrist, dermatologist, ophthalmologist, and registered dietician. Physical, occupational and speech therapy services are also offered, and guided by Select Medical Corporation, a nationally prominent provider of outpatient, physical rehabilitation and Amedisys, a multi-regional provider of home health care nursing services. Plus, health services offered are Medicare-certified and accepted by most major insurances.

Overseen by Buena Vida’s medical director, Dr. John Potomski and assistant medical director, Dr. Karen Stewart and coordinated through the department of Geriatrics at Osler Medical, the Physicians Clinic and Wellness Center adds another component to the continuing care offering at Buena Vida Estates.  The advantage of this state-of-the-art clinic is its “all under one roof” concept where Buena Vida ensures its residents have access to a complete array of medical services and quality care, should the need arise.
