The country is proceeding carefully to the liberalization of its domestic economy, the world’s second largest. The renminbi is major problem for the country’s trading bonds and relations, although the trade balance surplus narrowed for a second consecutive year in 2010. As reported by markets247.com, the country is proceeding so far slowly but steadily to the introduction of its currency to the international markets, while Hong Kong becomes rapidly an offshore Yuan market. The rate expectation is that yuan will cost 0.158 US dollars by the end of the present year, indicating a rise for the Chinese currency. China is strengthening the renminbi slowly and it is underpinning the domestic consumption, therefore the authorities expected imports to double in the following years, especially from the US. The Chinese minister mentioned that they want to import more from United States, technology products, daily necessities and raw materials. China mainly seeks for more imports to solve its trade imbalances problems and to increase its foreign investments.
