Illinois Central School Bus receives grant from American Lung Association

Feb. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- The American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest recently informed Illinois Central School Bus that they had received all necessary documentation pertinent to the grant award program through the Diesel Emissions Reduction National Program (DERA).  According to CEO Bruce Barr, Illinois Central will be installing Direct Fire Heaters on numerous buses in its fleet due to this grant award, leading to further reductions in diesel emissions by the company.  Jason Haupt, Environmental Program Coordinator for the American Lung Association, was very appreciative of Illinois Central's participation in this important program.
