Maxair Mechanical Inc. Donates HVAC Services for the Garden

Feb. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Marietta, Georgia- Maxair Mechanical Inc., a firm that designs, installs and maintains HVAC systems in greater Atlanta, recognizes the importance of giving back to their community.  When Jon Sterling, the president of the Maxair, received information that a local non-profit ministry / homeless shelter was in need of HVAC services he was certain that Maxair could help. “People often need help but we found someone truly making a difference, so we want to help them have an impact on those in need,” Jon Sterling said.

The Garden, a non-profit ministry led by Pastor 7 Wells was established in May 2005.  Pastor 7 said, “The goal of this ministry is to rescue our brothers and sisters off the street and help them break the bonds of homelessness, alcohol, sexual addictions, prostitution and abuse”.  This foundation can maintain a capacity of 106 women and children.  They transport the women and children from several locations in Atlanta throughout each week.  The ministry is able to provide services strictly through donations from Mt. Bethel United Methodist and Due West Methodist church, local grocery stores and other local businesses.  After the news was relayed that the existing HVAC systems were outdated and not functioning properly, Maxair decided to step forward and lend a helping hand. They donated and installed a new heating and cooling unit and repaired the remaining systems. A volunteer of The Garden, Steven Phillips, commented about the work completed by Maxair, “Very professional, very caring and a true blessing”.
