QA Graphics wins ADDY® Awards, local level of national creative competition

Feb. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- QA Graphics, an interactive design firm in Ankeny, was honored with two silver ADDY® Awards at the American Advertising Federation of Des Moines’ annual ADDY® Awards show on February 19.

The American Advertising Federation of Des Moines (AAF of Des Moines) honors Central Iowa’s best creative work each year with a local ADDY competition, which is part of a three-tiered national competition.  The AAF of Des Moines is the local chapter of the American Advertising Federation – the nation’s largest and oldest advertising trade association, representing members from all facets of the advertising community.   Nearly 300 entries were judged this year, based on creativity, originality and creative strategy.  At the show, 33 Gold ADDY Awards and 57 Silver ADDY Awards were presented.  Over 200 individuals from the local advertising community attended this year’s award ceremony held downtown Des Moines, and QA Graphics is proud to have been honored with two silver ADDY awards for projects submitted under the Interactive Media category.

QA Graphics was honored for their virtual configurator, created for Vogue Tyres.  The solution is an interactive application that allows Vogue Tyres’ customers to see a realistic 360-degree view of their vehicle and customize how accessories will look on their vehicle before purchasing. The live application can be viewed at www.voguetyre.com/3d/index.php.  The second project, an Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard, was completed for a McDonald’s franchise in Riverside, California. The interactive solution is used to showcase why the new restaurant is “green”, by demonstrating how the restaurant is sustainable and displaying how much electricity is being output by the photovoltaic system outside the building.  The application can be viewed at www.greenmcdonalds.com.
